In this RHS version of Nibbles, you (the snake) have to move around the
playing field trying to eat the food that appears. For each piece of
food that you eat, you earn points and your snake body gets longer. The
faster you move, the more points you earn. If you run into any of the
walls, obstacles, or your own snake body, the game ends. The two-player
mode and higher levels contain interesting features (wraparound walls and
corners, portals, auto-growing snakes, hidden obstacles, moving food and
obstacles, etc.) that make the game more challenging.

Redwood's Computer Programming Lab

The Birthplace of Nibbles
|
|
RHS Nibbles was originally designed by three 10th grade students in their Computer Programming
classes at Redwood High School. Devin Clunn, Matt Quick, and Scott Diamond started creating
the program during the winter of 2000-2001 as part of an extended school project. Although
those three students have since moved on, many other students have made significant contributions,
allowing Nibbles to gradually evolve into the complete game that it is today.
